Hey, I'm doing a research paper on Hot Rodding in the 1930's through late 40's. My grandfather was a SCTA member in those years out of Glendale with the "Glendale Racers." I'm trying to get any information on the history of Hot Rodding out of Southern California in those days.

What was life like?

Why were people going out to the Dry lakes?

What has been the result of these people's action in American Culture?

Any information anyone would like to share on these topics or any suggetions on where you think I might want to be looking forinfomation, please share it with me, thanks!

Also,if you want to share any stories or thoughts on Hot Rodding in the 30's and 40's please tell.
