Resizing OEM Aluminum driveshafts

Aluminum driveshafts have been on the lists for sale. A nice smooth rotation at higher rpms 2600-3000 cruise and the look make them desireable peices. Droping some rotating weight is a little help. Supposed parasitic electro mechanical reduction from a 55" spinning ferrous metal rod is eliminated recovering a loss in power. They are often under 75, then add a cut n balance another 100. These are OEM nice shafts from the 3R ujoint F bodys, 2500, marquis, and envoys. The same prop shafts are 450 from performance shops. Do you believe the 3.5" AL prop shaft is worth 150 total ?
