I started with some rust pin holes on the bottom of a 1950 chevy truck cab. After I welded them up the bottom edge of the panel shrank (as expected). Since I could not reach both sides of the panel to hammer it out I thought I could make some hot shrinks in the middle of the panel to even things out since welding the bottom gave it a bad case of the oil cans. didnt work so well. So I decided it would be less work to cut the panel out and make a new one then weld it back together. making the panel large enough that I could reach it through the door openings and rear window to work out the heat affected zone. I have made multipule attemps to upload photos to this thread but cant. However I was able to load them to my album.
