I just bought a 76 dart lite, the car has all the original parts, plus a broadcast sheet , thats somewhat legable. It has the 225 slant 6 with the aluminum intake, structural aluminum fenders, hood , deck lid and aluminum bumper mounts, 4 speed aluminum case. This car back in the day was know to get over 30 mpg. All i know is that there were less than 1000 produced, and maybe fewer with the 4 speed as oppose to the three speed manual shift. I read this so im not sure if thats true. Anyways my thoughts are this , tubb it out , drop a 440 6 pack and have a great street car ( strip ) or do you guys think i should just put the 225 slant 6 back in and have a nice grocery getter? They do have alot of room in the trunk. lol
