Post retro lookin truck ideas?

im goin for a retro kinda theme w/ my 83 C10. in the process of ordering air ride tech bags, the truck is light blue w/ cream colored steel wheels and chrome smoothie hubcaps. door handles and mirrors are shaved and ive got an old school peep mirror mounted high on the drivers door. any ideas what to w/ the front grill? i hate the billet thing and the 83 grill is just too plain. any other retro ideas are welcome too...like what to do w/ the interior. ill post pics once its bagged. right now its nothin special to look at. thanks.

Instead of having the grill a total seperate peice from the fenders why dont you blend the grill with the fenders. Make the headlight buckets look like they are apart of the fenders and use some horizontal chrome strips in the center sort of like a '48-'53style grill. Or you could make a custom angular version of a '54's grille and use that with the blended look of the fenders and headlight buckets. It would be retro, original and way custom.

Just remember one thing when doing a retro, back when, hot rodders used anything they could find that would fit or that they could make fit. Even if you cut down a grill from a 70's Impala and mounted it to the hood or something it would be different. And thats what it's all about!

Use any Ideas you can think up and make it work.
I've made a few custom grills in the past and will say that a hot glue gun can be your best friend somedays.
Just a thought.
