Reuse pistons (picture)

Hello guys, can i reuse this pistons ? (i think i can't, but i dont's lose nothing asking it)

they are JE Forged Pistons, and 1 Melt one of it, Lean i think, with a 383 and weiand 177.

But some of the others come this way:

You should be fine. I would clean them up, polish them, check them for cracks and skirt wear and run them.

I disagree. those pistons have very short skirts. i see the oil ring going through the piston pin. probablly a short stack on a strorker.

How deep is the burning into the groove on the top ring? If only outer surface, you could get away with it on a MILD engine. Carbon would build up in that area.

I would say dont use them. The area above the top ring looks cooked and brittle, and may very well start to crumble away regardless of how the engine is used.
Also note that the Oil control ring has the gap uncomfortably close to the wrist pin relief as mentioned earlier. Of course it was probably moved upon removal, just though it was a valid point though.
If the top area of that piston starts to crumble it could also glow and cause preignition which can Damage the block and heads/valves.
Not worth the gamble in my opinion.
