Revell's model of a 1943 Willys pickup

Here is the box from a version of Revell's Willys pickup. It came out in many editions over many years but this one is unique in all the world. NO ONE was making civilian vehicles in 1943, especially Willys which was bankrupt a year before and spending full time making military jeeps using the deign it stole from American Bantam!! That is a '42.

Do you know how many of the 1943 Willys models Revell made?

I thought it was more like the US Army "stole" it because they didn't think Bantam had the production capacity to build it but Willys did.......... something like that anyway

And, I understand that ford made a whole bunch for the armed forces from that same design.

Good call about the 43 though.
