rims for olds???

anybody know what rim size, offset, backspace will allow me to run a wide tire on my 71 cutlass. it is not tubed and i was looking to run a 295 or larger tire.

I usually make me a plywood circle ... of the diameter of the tire I want to use ... and then drill the wheel pattern to it and bolt the plywood blank jig to the rear end ... then measure the distance between any offending inner/outer metal that may interfere ... and then I know how wide a tire and the offset I need ...
