ring groove

anyone the ring groove thickness of a ls7 454 piston?

It's 5/64, 5/64, 3/16..The 5/64 are the compression and the 3/16 is the oil but...

I think there were some pistons with the 1/8" oil ring, they were all aftermarket pistons.


The only way to know for sure if you want to order the rings is measure them.

The ls7 is the 427 cu.in. engine in the ZO6 corvettes.

The rings are 1.2mm, 1.2mm, and 2.0mm oil ring.

OOPS!!! Nice catch, that is what I meant.


Since he said LS and 454 I was assuming that he meant the ls6 454.
