Ring installation

So im installing the rings onto the pistons and ive got a couple questions. First it has three seperate ring channels. The top two are the same thickness but the kit came with 2 types one with the bevel the same side as the dot up marker and one with the bevel on the opossite side as the dot up marker. The instructions say install dots up but theres no info one which ring is top and which is in the middle. Next question i have is how to orient the keeper rings end gaps on the bottom in relation to each other and the wavy rings end gap.

Thanks for any help.

You need to pay attention to the packaging.

Usually the box will have tabs or print that tell the position of the ring. Or paper sleeves.

The top ring will have a different color if it is not plain cast

Usually the top ring is plain or has a taper/dot on the inside that goes up;
Second ring is reverse twist. So dot goes up and taper goes down.

Third is usually an expander that goes on first. Ends butted together. No overlat. Then the thin scraper rails go over the expander. Stagger all end gaps about 60-90 degrees. The rings will normally move around in operation. Changing the position of gaps.

Usually the rings are in a protective treated paper wrapper that has the ring position clearly marked. Usually a ring w/the inside taper on the bottom is the second position. What brand are the rings?

Ring gap locations are here.
