let all of your mechanic buddies know what happened, that way you get a peek in their garage, when a theft is that specific, the thief was probably in there not too long ago.if they're just looking for dope money, they'll steal small, easy to sell items, socket sets, hand tools etc.i only ever had one theft, it was my"buddy"up the road,i found out a year later,he moved away after he lost 5 or 6 motors.(some bastard sugared his tank on a regular basis).go figure <img src="graemlins/boxing.gif" border="0" alt="[boxing]" />

I had $500.00 worth of tools stolen from my garage. It turned out there was a ring going around town that specialized in stealing from detatched garages. The police found someone in the neighborhood that had $50,000 worth of tools. When I called to inquire about it, they told me there was no use coming down to the station unless I had serial numbers on all the stuff. Now, I have serial numbers listed, a 6 foot piece of angle iron in the jam for the lock to fit in, and a security system hooked up.

Send them to Syria for a good old fashioned hand chopping for stealing, good luck finding the perp.

I am sorry to hear that. My home was burglarized about 3 years ago. It is a very bad feeling to come home and have busted door, and all your stuff gone through and stolen. I was told it was probably a neighbor or someone who lived in the area by the police.

I moved a couple months after to a better area.

I asked a sheriff in our area about catching ripoffs in the home. He told me " If you shoot them, better make sure they're in the home or armed. If you shoot them outside, they're not armed, bury them in an orchard somewhere because we don't want to deal with it. You'll end up in prison with the rest of them". My kind of sheriff. Dan
