roaring noise in the rearend area of my 1998 Mustang

I have a very similar problem with my 1998 Mustang I checked the the brakes they were fine the dope in the rear end is good. It gets louder when I accelerate but it is not really loud. I went to a Ford dealer and they said that you will have some noise and there is not very much insulation in the vehicle. If someone has found a solution please help thanks.

Did you just install new gears? On a scale of '0' to '10' with 10 being the loudest, what would you say it is? I just did a swap to 4.10's for a buddy and hit the numbers on the money and they make some noise but if you have the radio on at a low level, you don't notice it. I would say they are about a 1.5 Sometimes that's the way it is but for me, it doesn't happen often and I've been doing rearend work for about 20 years or so....
