"Dredded" Q-Jet?! Q-Jets are the next best thing to EFI in my book. Tell you what, throw that POS in a box and send it my way, I'll even pay the freight.

Seriously, I've never seen a Q-Jet crack. However they will leak around the well plug and soak the intake runners causing the problem it sounds like you are having but a good cleaning and a little J-B Weld around the plug will cure that. I'd patch up the Q-Jet then put the 3310 on eBay or at the very least give the QJ to whoever buys the truck, but do NOT throw it away.
