rocker arm ?

my vortec heads need a set of rockers ,and i had a question.they have been machined to accept 3/8 studs and im using guideplates.i shouldnt need the self-aligning,but do i use narrow or wide body rockers? thanks

Better off narrow, some of the wider body rockers won't clear the tubes on the center bolt valve covers.

as i understand it. widebodies(normal) rockers will work on vortec heads. but you have to cut the pillars out of the inside of the covers, but this also makes the covers weak/er. but if you have cast covers, that may work.
