Post rocker arm riot

im building a sbc 350. i have dart 200cc heads and a 268 comp cam. i want to get a little more lift and duration out of my cam so would a set of 1.6 ratio roller rockers be a good choice? also my block has been decked and i definetly don't want the valves hitting the pistons.

and kinda off the topic, has anyone built a 427 tall deck? i kinda want to and any insight would be great.

thanks, sam

chevypunk,

the extra ratio rockers will give you slightly more lift but won't do anything to the duration. also, you will have to measure everything and check your piston clearance to see if the valves will be ok.

i have built many tall deck big blocks, what did you need to know? basics are -tall deck is .400 taller, you need adapter plates to use performance intakes, distribs on them. all bolt on parts(heads, auto water pumps, sheetmetal, etc) fit it. Use .400 long rods and the correct pistons and you can build some killer engines.Beware of the 366, only thing good is crank, rods and main caps.
