rocker arm & valve tip geometry

link 1:
http://www.circletrack.com/techartic.../photo_06.html

link 2:
http://www.compcams.com/information/Products/Pushrods/

link 1 shows no lift and max lift at the same point
link 2 shows no lift and max lift at opposite ends of the valve stem

what is the correct way to do it? I set it up the way comp cams said to do it, but this article in link 1 has me worried. this is for a mostly street 383 sbc.

Jerome

Both have there merits and I'm sure if you asked 10 builders, it would go 50/50. As long as the rocker does not fall off the stem, either will be fine.
