Alright i got my pushrods in, and rocker arms on with the ballseat round part facing down, and the adjusting nut with the round face facing up correct?..
The "ball" should fit into the radius in the rocker arm. Unless I am misreading your post, you have it upside down.
Assuming you have rotated the engine so that the valve being adjusted is in the correct position to be adjusted. Tighten the adjusting nut slowly while lifting
the pushrod up and down. When there is no up and down movement is '0' lash. Then tighten down 1/4-1/2 additional turns.
Side Note: I don't like the suggested method of turning the pushrod until you "feel" resistance. This is because you can still turn the pushrod even when the lifter has become completely collapsed.
