rocker removal

Hey guys, I've removed both 1/4 panels on my 76 monte. The lower portion of the door jams and the rear 1/4 of both rockers are rusted out. Can I remove both lower parts of the door jam and the rocker sections. Will the body be able to support itself. I'm worried that I'll end up twisting the body.

Replacing the door jam is gonna be a hassle. I have no metal shaping tools to speak of other than a hammer and dolly and its a pretty complex shape. I'll need help on that in the future. Thanks,

Adam

I don't recommend ever removing more than 1 welded in panel at a time without installing some kind of good bracing. Even on full frame vehicles, the welded panels, specially the rocker panels and roof, support the body.

I was suspecting that, One 1/4 panel is completely off, the other is mostly off. I'll do some bracing before I get to work on the rockers. Thanks for the tip. - Adam
