Rod doors

I have used the rod door panels on my 31 ford coupe with great sucsess. The only thing is if your panel has any type of curves to it you have to use a heat gun to try and compensate for this. Such as around hindges or I have a set of safety pin latches that I had fabed into the door which was like a small box on the inside portion of the door, And instead of cutting around this I used a heat gun and allowed the plastic to soften then formed it to fit and it worked out good. As for the duo lock tape it still will not stay stuck to my door so I Used the Christmas tree type push in fasteners and that did the trick. The panel looks great. If you use the duel lock fasteners they will cause the panel to stick out from the door about 1/4 of an inch but the foam stick tape they will give you is the same thickness and you add this to the 3 sides of the panel before you put your material on, Once the material is rapped around and glued you can no longer see the 1/4 gap and they will fit nicely. Just take your time measure 3 times and cut once.
