Why would the oil filter blow up as I have never seen this in 37 years of building engines.

That was me being sarcastic...i guess i am off today with my wit...


You might not remember the thread a few months ago where a few guys jumped all over me and a few others becasue we told someone to plug the by pass....

One of the comments was something like "if the filter cloggs it will blow off the engine destroying it" my reply was exactly like yours. 30 years of blocking the by pass and not one filter explosion....
