Lets talk about Nitrous, & the correct way to speak of it.
Nitrous or N2O is a gas that is a power adder.
Since the Slow & the Stupid came out, things have changed. Most people can't say the word Nitrous any more it's either NOS or the more correct ricer way NAWWWWZZZZZZ.
When I hear someone say hey man do you got NOS, it makes me think of kids in cars with little engines & big wings, who are wearing their visor's on backwards & upside down. I always tell them no I don't have NAWWWWZZZZ I have a Nitrous Express Wet kit. I used to have a NOS 5177 Dry kit, but decided I didn't like some safety issues that dry systems present.
Then they usually come back & say, "So you do got NAAWWWZZZ & where do you got your Neon's hidden & do you have the blinking valve stem caps & winshield washers"
Usually by that time I'm fighting the urge to pull out the .40 & start "Bussin Caps"
So if y'all can, remember that NOS stands for a company Nitrous Oxide Systems. So actually when you ask someone if they have NOS & they actually have a Venom System, an NX = Nitrous Express System, or a TNT = Texas Nitrous Technology or even the ricers favorite ZEX. If they have one of these other systems, you might hurt someone's feelings or get your feelings hurt. By showing your ignorance.
I understand that breaking the habit of saying Nos as a generic term for Nitrous will be hard after all of the Fast & the Furious commercials shoving it down your throat, but please for the people that know it makes a world of difference if you use the correct terminology.
