Rodders Day Show... Tucson

We had our biggest annual hot rod show on Saturday. It was held at a local casino this time, due to construction in the "old-town" Forth avenue venue.

The cars in the background will give an idea of the turnout. :-)

The '38 Dodge panel features a blown KB Hemi!!!

The Gremlin was a 401...

and the silver '49 Ford had a Chrysler "Baby Hemi". :-)

The Avanti had the factory supercharger setup.

I don't think they make wider tires than those on the sedan delivery!

This roadster's body started as a Model A cowl... then the owner designed an built the rest of it!

What do you need to say about this Merc? :-)~

I like the yellow and black roadster, definitely one of a kind! Were any of your projects or cars you worked on at the show? Thanks for the pics. Dan

I had a few jobs there. One was the '38 Dodge panel in the second group of photos, called "Ram Rod Express".

Another job was the red '37 Ford flatback sedan, in the third group, with the flame-like yellow and orange graphics called "sclames". That style had a brief popularity when I did the car in the '90s.
