Roll cage question

Not sure where to put this here or in body work....I'm building a roll cage in a Bronco. I want to clean up the welds so they are smooth. I was thinking of using some body filler to make them smooth. This is an off-road/resto rod project. I know kind of odd project. Making a capable prerunner with modern conveniences. Would flex knock out the filler? Am I wasting my time.

Just leave the welds and be proud of them..And if you ever go through tech at an event the inspector will want to see the quality of the welds..
