Question Roller block

Ok I have a 87 350 from a Suburban, it was set up for a roller cam one peice seal, retainer for cam, etc. Original was flat tappet, installed GM roller cam and lifters. Low oil pressure and oil seemed to be spraying from lifter bores, pulled valve gear and found a counter bore in lifter bores going down 3/8" from top, I'm assuming this shouldn't be there if true roller block? Does that mean not all one piece seal, cam retainer blocks are Roller cam compatible?

You are correct there were several versions of blocks from 87-90 some were compatible some weren't. Some were completely finished for roller and had flat tappet cams in them (mostly truck and van). Some of these had the lifter bores counter bored. These blocks USUALLY have a fuel pump blockoff plate on them. Buy it is hard to make sense of the mix and match.
