Roller Rocker ?

Hey all

If I put roller rockers on stock heads
do I have to use guide plates ?

Early Chevy heads had narrow slots for the pushrods. Those pushrod slots aligned the rocker arms. They didn't need guideplates. Late models have wider, round holes. They require guideplates or self aligning rockers.

they sell self aligning roller rockers so u dont have to use guideplates, but if u r going to put in screw in studs id put in guide plates too.
