roller vs butt-link timinig chain...

I'm in the process of changing the cam and chain on my 93 tbi 350. what are the pros and cons of roller chain vs butt-link? the only thing i know for sure is the butt-link chains are super quiet. other than that, idk. any ideas?

Silent chain systems are superior to roller link chains for timing applications primarily because of the way they accomodate wear and ride up on the gear teeth and take up slack under load.

Roller links are stronger and longer wearing when properly lubricated, thats about it.

Silent chains are better for timing accuracy, get yourself a non-plastic coated tooth version and leave the roller chains to the drag racers who need the extra strength of a roller.
