Rolling chassis completed

Today was a benchmark day for the sedan/delivery project. I completed the rolling chassis. And the weather cooperated so I could actually roll it outside in the sun and get some pictures. The natural sunlight gives a much better idea of how the color actually looks. Many more pictures of the roller in my journal. But here are a few to give you an idea of how it came out.

And here are a couple close ups showing off the bc/cc paint job.

Great job! All the work smoothing of the welds made for a nice touch too. Very cool front and rear suspensions too!

How about loaning me some of your painting skills? Your frame looks better than any of the body I just shot.

That's my first ever attempt at bc/cc. About the only observation I can make for the newcomer who might be reading this is that that little paint job took me 6 weeks of FULL TIME work...and it still has plenty of flaws. So not much SKILL involved there...mostly just dogged determination to stay at it, lots and lots of mistakes I had to do over, and a major investment of time.

And my reward is I now get to do it all over again on the entire body!!!!!!

Very nice work.

The only thing I don't necessarily agree with is mounting the rear 4-link in single shear. But as long as the motor isn't putting out too much power it probably won't fail.
