Good job.... love the progress shots
As for the rust ive started using pour 15 on some parts and so far so good. May be some issues in and around where your going to weld.

I was going to say, don't sweat it too much, just a quick prime or somthing, it isn't a big deal. EVERY car has it in this hidden areas. It may be called "rust" but it is more of a simple "oxidation" of bare metal. Being it won't ever get wet and your car isn't going to be full of wet carpet or something, it won't get worse even if you left it there.

I am not saying to leave it, but any primer to protect it will be more than enough. But you do want some good protection where the pinch welds will be.

Brian

i will use seam sealer in the drip rails like the factory did.. im still picking away at that stuff... hope to start skinning the new roof 2marrow. theres alot of spot welds 50+ just in that drip rail. gonna take awhile to get it all welded up.

Rust off.

I had seen once on some TV show that after they sanded down a section of the car to bare metal they would spray something on it so you wouldn't rust right away meaning this spray would keep the little rust off of it from forming over night. I can't remember the name maybe somebody here knows.

i ended up just puting some brushable rust converter on the frame after i knocked off all the dust/rust.

new skin is off! put aircraft stripper on the drip rail and window frames to get rid of the black goo and soften of the seam sealer. alot of dinking around to get all the seam sealer out.. my friend got the skin off in one peice..so far so good

its just sitting on the car for now. the back fits great but the front is a little high. i think its just cause the metal is not in the drip rail yet.. one we put a few screws in it to hold it down i think it should be ok

Wow...thats a lotta spot welds to drill. Makes me cringe looking at it. I am currently seperating a full quarter panel from the donor car (69 GTO) and this makes it look "easy".

Good job!
