I have a 28 model "A" 2 door sedan. I welded 3/4 square tubing with 12" spacing across the roof leaving aprox 1/4" clearance to the top of the side roof panel then installed 1/4" plywood cut to size then I used bondo to fill in the transition. It looks pretty good, initially I was going to use sheet metal but to weld it to the old body I was afraid lots of distortion and that's hard to repair.

I used a two part body adhesive. Very expensive but works amazingly. I then tact in the top very carefully so that nothing warped. Then I glassed the seam. The key to this is installing the wood frame so that everything fits nice. the wood frame came from Snyder's Antiques. Again really expensive, I think $600, but a must IMO.

I purchased my roof panel from Howell's sheet metal. Fordor.com They might have the dimensions on their site. Unfortunately i can not recommend them. They are expensive and their service is horrible. They always tell you they have it in stock and then it is weeks before you get it. When you do get it the freight charges which they do not give you when you buy them is ridiculous. I would go to a junk yard and cut the roof off of a mini van. Then bring it back and trim to fit. The roof I purchased had to be trimmed anyways so it was the same amount of work. Just use a jig saw and it goes fast.
