roots 3-71 blower

I have a roots style 3-71 blower that has some groves in the case where the rotors are, initially I thought weld them up then machine it out, but that would cost more than a new case and this one isn't that bad. im looking for some type of epoxy or some type of idea to put in the groves and then hone out to proper specs.

I have used Devcon on internal problems. JB marine would probably work. I used to repair B&M cases
