rotor thickness

i'm going to be looking at a few2 chevelle disk brake setups for my impala upgrade if the rotors are in good shape i would like to use them it would be nice to save a few bucks as the new ones are $99 each. obviously i want to make sure there good rotors first. so if i bring a mic. with me what should i be looking at as a good range. i really have no idea myself. thanks for your help.

Chevelle should be
New =1.030"
'Machine to' =0.980"
'discard' =0.965"
max runout =0.005"
max thickness variation =0.0005"

I dont think they listed the new or 'machine to' spec for all years or in all books, and the runout and t/v varies sometimes.... but this is the most common published spec for GM 1" rotors from 1967-1980.
Why are the rotors so expensive? I find them for ~$60US or less.

thanks for the info i really appreciate it. thats just what i was looking for as for the price i deal with napa a lot and there book shows 99 each. they do have a cheaper line for less but there made in china and didn't seem to be of the same quality. (for all i know they are made in the same place) so i figured that for rotors cheaper wasn't necessarily better.
