I don't know about the casting numbers off the top of my head, but it sounds like you've probably got some later model Monza rotors, maybe '75 or '76? An even better idea is to swap on some S10 spindles and brakes. You can make the S10 ball joints fit the Vega control arms, or, they make sleeves to make the Vega ball joints fit the S10 spindles.

Sounds like Monza to me too, I know my original brakes on the front of both of the 72-73 Vega's I have are a solid thin rotor, non-vented. One car is getting the S-10 spindle upgrade, the other a straight axle.

The ball joint adapter sleeves for putting S-10 spindles on are at www.v8monza.com. Have seen them on Ebay also.

X 3 for Monza.
Here's a link to how you can finish converting your Vega to the Monza front brakes as I did this to mine.
