Rough engine idle

I was cruising around last weekend a showing off a little with a few burnouts when the lights turned green. when i came up to the last light, the engine was idleing really rough. i crippled my way on home and since then, the engin idles very rough, revving up or slowing down without any throttle work. I changed the plugs and the coil, but that didnt help. what do you think i did and how can i test it for sure?

It's a basic chevy 350 in a t-bucket, so nothing extra added on.

What type of carb are you running? Could be a fuel issue. Try putting HEET(gas treament) in your gas tank and drive for a while to get it running through. This should clean out any blockage in the carb if there is any. Thats what I would do next

Its an Edelbrock 650. it does sit for a while in between sunday drives. I will give it a try. I was a little worried something internal was starting to go. the engine is still realtively new, only a few thousand miles on it, but it was first started back in 1999 after a total re-build from the shortblock up.

If it still runs rough, put a timing light on it & see if it's moving around. Something stuck after your little WOT stink, may be the mech advance.
