rounded flexipate gear
hi all,i had a problem fitting a new starter motor to my 350 chev and had abit of grinding on flexiplate which has coursed bad rounding.it turned out to be bad starter bolts which was coursing starter to move.
I'm planning on replacing my gear box in six mths so my Q is how warn is to warn for a flexiplate and will it last till then. I dont have starter fitted atm because in the process of trying to tighten bolts i broke one off in the block. It was the off set bolt so i'm going to change starter to multi fit for now to save time. Just really need to know if i'm going to have matting problems with new starter...thanks |

Can you Post a Pic?
If it's bad as it sounds you'll need a new FlexPlate. I also suggest getting a factory Brace for the nose of the Starter as well. This helps prevent movement & damage. Examples >> http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...og&sa=N&tab=wi |
