Rpm Air Gap Intake Onto A Stock 400sbc
I have a 70 Chevy Caprice with a stock 400sbc and 2bbl carb/intake. I have sitting in the garage an Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake, sumit racing 750cfm 4 bbl carb with electric choke, msd pro billet distributor and msd 6al ignition box and msd plug wire. The question I have is, would replacing the stock 2bbl intake/carb with the intake/carb I mentioned earlier flood my engine? Someone told me that it would make the motor run worse...which I highly doubt. The motor runs pretty good as it is right now, but would rather have a 4bbl carb. It's got about 130K on the original motor. I'm not very savy when it comes with engines, but an intake swap is pretty simple. I did a 327 2bbl to 4bbl intake swap and put an Edelbrock 600cfm carb on it and it ran fine. Just double checking. Thanks.

That's what I thought, he was saying that I would need to upgrade the stock heads on there and I know that it shouldn't really matter if I left the stock heads on there and just changed the intake/combo.....thanks.
