Rubber transmission lines?

I am installing a new aftermarket radiator in a 65 Plymouth. The old radiator had the transmission lines come directly into the bottom of the radiator. My new radiator is a cross flow and has the entry point for the transmission lines on the driver's side.

The easiest way to re-direct the lines would be to connect the radiator and the old cooling lines with rubber transmission hose and clamps.

Is there anything wrong with following this procedure?

You would be better off to make new steel lines, or add to the old ones with compression fittings etc. Steel lines make for a cleaner looking instalation.........Rubber lines look more tacky and could rupture more easilly................there is a bit of pressure in tranny lines.
