running board on my 49 chevy pickup

can some tell me how to cut my running board to put my exhaust tip in. i have square 2"X7.75" tip that i want to use. i want to roll the edges instead of just a straight cut. please help

running board chop

I was thinking about doing that as well to my 49 3100, but I think I will run straight out the back and stop just short of the rear bumper. It'll keep the pipes out of the tire splash zone.
