i'm plenty calm.
i'm not the guy running for the extinguisher
i doubt it would do anything to the carb from excessive fuel pressure.
the carb burning up in the fire might be an issue

f.i. hose ain't hard to come by, ain't as cheap as the regular stuff, but that's what I'd do...
run as much hard line as you can and then use the f.i. stuff...
