Pretty normal for any carbureted engine to run a little rich when cold. You can adjust the choke, but if you go too far the engine will continue to die until it warms up. To adjust it pull the air cleaner when it's stone cold. Loosen the choke screws that hold the cover and turn the cover clockwise until the choke plate opens. (hold the throttle slightly open to allow the choke plate to move!) When it just starts to open STOP and tighten the screws. Don't go past barely open, or it will want to die when cold.
A 750 Holley is a little large for a 351, unless it's a pretty well built 351. If it's vacuum secondaries it's a bit more forgiving. |
