russ@hei

i have a 64 falcon ranchero and need help selecting front tires have 195 45 16s now ...have power rack fat man front suspension not mustang two and seem to follow every crack in the road any help appreciated

Might try some alignment and put a bit more castor in..may help..provided of course it is in all good condition and tight..Moving to suspension forum

re tire problem

45 is pretty wide, I don't think you are gonna be able to do much about that, there so wide they don't go in between the grooves on the road. Try a slightly narrower tire.

I don't think it's width so much as height. 195's are not too wide for a Falcon, but those tires are only 23" tall.

That's called bump steer. You need to check the location of your rack in respect to the outer tie rods. To high or to low will give the results you are seeing.
