rust
I am gonna be doing my truck in a week or tow, I noticed some rust bubbles starting to form, can anyone tell me the proper way to go about getting rid of these, they are not all the way through, after I sand them down should I epoxy prime them then fill then 2k high build prime?

Depends on how long you want it to last and how severe the rust really is. I have stopped taking chances with rust if I cannot completely remove the rust by either sanding of disc grinding I have taken the drastic measure of cutting it out and putting in a new piece of metal but that is just me. I see lots of posts on here where guys use naval jelly to remove surface rust and they all swear buy it but again I think it depends on how bad the rust really is. If after removing the rust with a grinder or naval jelly or whatever method you chose and you look really close and can still see these little tiny black dots in the steel that is rust and it goes deep. I would cut it out.
Just my opinion and I am not an expert by any strectch of the imagination. Ric |
