Rust Experts Please !!

I am restoring a 65 Plymouth and the metal is generally very good..... but my engine bonnet if I turn it upside down and look closely I see some surface rust (or do I ever really know what stage of rust it is ?) in an unreachable place. There are two skins welded together on the bonnet with some air vents into these compartments which are unreachable and only viewable with a mini mag flashlight.....Geez I hope this makes sense

How concerned should I be about this and to what product could I saturate these inner tunnels so that I can rest easier ?

I will be doing a paint stripping on the bonnet so if that makes a difference to what chemicals I can treat these areas with, thought I should mention it.

My plan is to use SPI expoxy.

If you can seal it up sufficiently to keep the rust remover in there, you could go with something like this:

Good luck. I hate rust.

Thats the problem we can't see all the rust. You could have it dipped or the car then dip in a sealer! Or There are a bunch of rust remover and converter product, which may starts a debate on which one to use. I use the Must For Rust product which you can get at Home Depot. Works very well on light surface rust, bare metal up to 12 month.

Thanks guys for the tips. I will explain a little more my camera is busted but I will post some pictures next week.

As I said it's the underside strengthening metal layer of the hood I am not sure why they left air or port holes, I assume to breath but they have no or little access and I will look into your products to stop this, I must mentione these areas are somewhat visible and will be painted or covered the best I can during the spray.

thx again
