Rust Pits in Rally Rims

I'm in the process of sandblasting and powder coating my rallies. Some of the rims have deep pits around the inside lip. The pits are higher up on the lip and I don't think i'll have a problem with air escaping but I'm no expert. I'm sure others here have seen the type of rust pits I'm talking about.

Should I do something about it?
If so any ideas on how it fix them?

Thanks

Most of the sealing it happening in the bead radius of the wheel.

That 90* bend is where the dirt or a piece of torn rubber will let it leak .

The rubber will form to small imperfections & there is always bead sealer messy but effective.

Sometimes you can take a hammer & beat on the TIRE & it will seat up & stop the leak.

If they are really deep then maybe some epoxy or welding?

Thanks for the reply.
I thought it would probably be OK but wasn't sure. I'm a bit of a perfectionist and things like that bug me.
Do you think that metal to metal stuff might work? I think I can powder coat over the top of it. If not I may have to wait to fix them. (my wife spent my wielder money )

Columbia Coatings has some called Lab-Metal. It is a filler with metal in it. I'll try to remember to take a couple of pics tonight and post them.

My father used Lab-metal on a rusted diesel fuel tank on his 18 wheeler that was leaking 3 or 4 years ago and its still holding today. He did lay it on thick tho. I not sure if its hard to sand down to get nice and smooth for you wheels, or how it would hold on small pits? Defiantly worked good for his application.
