rust protectant

Does anyone know of a paper product that can be applied to bare metal to prevent rust prior to painting?

i sandblasted my bed and sprayed it with picklex20
it kept the bed rust free for a couple of years
humid summers and damp cold winters


unfortunately, i did get back to it for 4 yrs

I've heard of pickle X but never used it ,The only product I trust because its proven itself to me over the years is Ospho,I use it on ALL my restos...
