when it comes to dying vinyl, there is a lot of simple things you can do. are you trying to change the color? some of the dye colors are transparent. what it means is you may have change the color to a solid color first and then go to a color that will cover it. example spray red on a white door and you will have pink. change to tan and you will get red. vinyl needs to be washed real good for 1 prep, then wipe it with acetone. spray a very light coat on the vinyl first (about a foot away) you will probably use 5 to 7 coats very light. i have been doing this since 1982. 47 ford
