Post RV cam or regular hiperf. cam

what should i use An Rv cam Or regular h-perf. just wabnted to have a little more muscle but it will be for street ,? what do you think... still want to be running smooth ...

that`s what a RV cam is, smooth idle, High Torque, low duration with decent lift.

in my opinion a rv cam would have good low end torque but not much in mid and top end performance try a performance cam with a 114 lobe seperation. for performance and excellent idle.

More questions than answers.


What is the motor going into? How much does it weigh? What gearing and tranny? What size motor will it be when you are finished?

the engine is a 454 and the car is a 72 z28 camaro . I havent got anything yet to rebuild untill i get enough information ... I am also looking for kits ... I would like to get atleast 454 horse power out of it ... Stock 454 1970 engine already came with 365 horse . But i would like to rebuild with more power... thanks
