S-10 frame?

I was just wondering whether an s-10 frame with a 350 bolted in would make a good base for a street rod. I eventually want to use a 30's ford style body on there. I'm not exactly sure whether I want a roadster, coupe or sedan body. I thought I read somewhere on here here that the s-10 frame was decent for rodding applications. I'm not quite sure that a sedan body would fit because of the wheelbase. Also, would I have to rip out the existing suspension components or are the stock components are good enough set up for an open wheeled street rod application?
I'd appreciate any suggestions or info. Thanks.

I would think that an s10 frame would be OK for a larger fendered car, but a no fendered roadster, NO....too much suspension etc is showing.

Most 1930's ford car are 112 inch wb,I believe all the s-10 frames are longer wheelbase than this means shorting the frame. Also the s-10 is a front steer I don't think you could fit the sbc plus the steering sticking out that far and get all enclosed in the front. If looking for a 1930's ford keep the original frame adapt after market suspension to it .
