S-10 Headliner trim pieces??

Hey guys,

I am having a hard time getting information on what looks like should be a trim piece for my S-10. After getting my new headliner in it appears there are several different styles. Mine is the type where there was no interior light overhead, and the cab actually wraps from the back glass to the back of the doors. The headliner fits inside this metal wrap piece. What I can not find is the trim piece that is used to dress out the edge of the cab that the headliner slips under. None of the aftermarket places seem to know what it is and I the ones in my local wrecking yard have the dome light. Anybody know how this fits together and where I might find the piece?

Thanks,

Chris

I have 2 different 1982 s10s...The tahoe has a headliner that goes all the way back to the back glass, but the other base model truck has the type of head liner like you're talking about. It stops about 4 or 5" from the back glass

There is a piece of rubberish-plastic trim that slips on the bare metal edge then the headliner slides into that.

You should be able to find that moulding at a wrecking yard.

Thanks, that is what it looked like. I may give the dealership a call as much as I hate to pay through the nose. The local yard does not have any like that.

Thanks,

Chris

Here in Missouri we have a all S-series salvage yard. You might find what you need there.

I ended up getting one from the chevy house. For $30 it was not worth hunting any more for a cheaper one.

Thanks,

Chris
