S-10 T5 to 250 I-6
I found a decent deal on a T5 from an '89 S-10 that I want to put behind a 250 I-6 in my '81 Chevy pickup. I'm really after a 5-speed to get rid of the farmer four speed in it now.
Does anybody know if my bell housing will bolt up, or what I need to look for? I found some info in the knowledge base, but I'm lacking clarity. Before I bother explaining to my wife why I want to buy the thing and have it shipped to my house before I get back stateside...you get the idea. I'm fairly new to this board, and love the tips and builds on here. It really motivates me to keep working on my projects at home. Somewhere in the Kuwaiti desert, Joe |

Here's a link to a bunch of links. Probably all the info you'll ever need on T5's.

Thanks to Hemmings, I may have answered all my questions:
http://www.hemmings.com/mus/stories/...feature25.html It would appear that using my bell housing and a new clutch disc should set me up. Does anyone else agree? Quote:
