S-10 tail pipe size

Hello, I just bought summit racings walker dynamax muffler and noticed that the flanges are larger than the original muffler( the same size as the intermediate pipe). Should I get a tail pipe the same size, or use the old one. muffler size is 2 1/4, tail pipe size about 1 3/4.

I JUST re-did a 2.5. Low-restrict cat and cat-back.

The guy just custom bent 2-1/4 coming out of the turbo. Didn't charge me any more. The whole thing was $250.
